Very rarely people laugh on the way i speak marathi as it is my state language and majority are maharashtrians with whom we come across at workplace or at banks, administrative offices,etc 7) Language not only expresses identities but also constructs them. For eg. If I'm talking to a person in my mother tongue, we make a bond easily and have a connection in common. Also if you go to banks or any other offices people speak marathi and if you too speak in marathi with them they will be more attentive you.
