Language is something that is ingrained in us from the moment we are born,it is a necessity and second nature to us,thus language becomes a set of human habits.

There are different types of languages-speech,sign language, expressions, script and so on.

ReplyDeleteAccording to me there was a communication barrier by seeing both the video. I think Susan's problem is related to the second video. Where susan misunderstood the word. And because of this susan's unable to understand the sentence.
ReplyDeleteIn both videos, we can see lack of proper communication . Both video are suitable. communication barrier is problem for Susan and she would not able to translate according to her understanding .

DeleteLanguage is a medium for communicating ones thoughts feelings and emotions. As a child we use non verbal means of communication like actions or sign language to communicate our needs,desires, etc. One of the first things a child is taught in his growth years is the means to communicate himself effectively I.e through language. Habits are something which are cultivated over a period of time and then become a part of our lives, similarly with language; it is inculcated in our being and very nature since the moment we begin to get a grasp on our senses. Language and communication comes as naturally to us as breathing and therefore a very important structure to our very existence
ReplyDeleteNatural language are spoken or signed but any language that may be encoded into secondary media using auditory,visual, or tactile example: singing, writing, whistling etc. Human language has the properties of displacement and productivity that replies on social convention and learning. This development is sometimes thought to have coincided with an increase in brain volume having evolved to serve specific communicative uses and social functions.

Language is the medium of communication , means of expression of feeling ,ideas, information, experiences in social setting .It is acquired not comes by birth. Learn through the practices, experiences, efforts and comes naturally in habit.

✓The nature of language is how every word sounds or combination of sounds,spelled,what the the words mean, grammatical structure, it is also base on our aural and oral system.

The statement "language is set of human habits" is true because if we see the nature and characteristics of language, communication is a human habit for socialising and language is the only mean for that.. also the culture we follow also is interrelated to language.
First video was related to somewhat human behaviour how how different people behave and act different from each other.

In second there was communication barrier and understanding problem
Communication problems refers to misunderstandings and misinterpretation of other people's meanings while talking. This is commonplace in relationships between family members, spouses, coworkers, and others.
ReplyDeleteIn the two videos there is miscommunication show w.r.t verbal and non verbal communication. The second video is more in correspondence with Susan's case as she has difficulty interpreting what is being said to her and also had difficulty in communicating with others. Language forms the basis for communication and difficulties in this can lead to miscommunication which happened between Susan and her teacher
